First grade field trip to Discovery Gateway
Friday I got to accompany Aaron on a field trip to Discovery Gateway. I had never been there before. It was a lot of fun. The kids had a lot of fun playing and pretending.
This is the magnet table. It was fun to build shapes and structures.
Aaron built this house shape.
This was a digging box. It is filled with cork pieces. The cork got everywhere and stuck to the kids cloths.
These pictures are out of order. We got to sit on the very last seat in the bus.
This is our group.
Aaron liked climbing on the horse. They played with the "hay bales". They stacked the hay bales up, fed the horse, loaded the truck, and had a lot of make believe time.

Lions, Tigers and Bears . . . Oh My!
It is allways fun to visit the zoo. Aaron, Audrey, and Faith are standing in front of the cage to the White Aligator or the "Ghost of the Bayou".
This Black Bear was pacing back and forth. Logan liked watching the animals.
It is fun to have Teenage boys who enjoy showing the little kids the animals and they are great to help with their little sisters. Brady is showing Audrey the monkeys.
This Leopard was pacing back and forth in front of the window. It was really neat to be so close. It scared Kiersten when I put her up to the window to see the big cat.
We went to the bird show. It was the same as last year, but it is fun to see the birds fly over our heads.
Audrey and I waiting for the bird show to start. Audrey had been sick all week and was still sick when we went to the zoo. I caught her bug Sunday and was sick all the next week.
Aaron was watching the Turkeys and other birds on the grass. The local birds were just as much fun as any of the more exotic animals, because they were often more animated.
And, finally, you can't go to the Zoo without stopping for a while at the big ball and pushing it around for a while.

Cabellas
We went to Nephi's Baptism Friday night. Audrey and Aaron in the van. You can see the top of Faith's head. Kenzie, Kiersten and Logan were on the front bench. Brady was at a freinds, he did not come with us.
We stopped by Cabella's on our way home and looked at the animals and fishes. Kiersten looks through the glass at the mountain and the stuffed animals on it.
Jim, Aaron, Logan, Kiersten, Audrey, Faith, and Kenzie in front of the desert display.
Audrey in front of a polar bear.
Logan and Audrey in front of the fish tank. Everyone is ready to go home.

Beauty and the Beast
Kenzie played the captain in the 6th grade play "Beauty and the Beast"
Kiersten loved crawling up and down the stage steps during rehersal.
Kenzie dancing with one of the princesses in an opening scene.
Kenzies dance
Grandma and Kenzie after the play. I really enjoyed watching Kenzie perform and the kids did a really good job performing the play. There is a lot of talent in the 6th grade.

Little Helpers - May 4th
May 1st - Trip to the park
Today was so beautiful we decided to go to the park.
Audrey did not want to ride in the stroller.
Aaron rode his tricycle.
Aaron and Audrey took turns riding the tricycle.
Audrey isn't quite big enough to touch the pedals.
This Playground has two "baby swings"!
Swings are their favorite things at the park.
I (Lori) walked laps around the playground in between pushing.
Kiersten is still to little to play on the playground, and didn't want to be stuck in the stroller.
Everyone got a little sunburned that day.
