Camping at strawberry

July 9th, we went to Aspen Grove Campground to go camping and fishing. The kids caught Craw-dads and had fun playing on the dock.

Central Roundup

Every year the school holds it's annual school "cowboy roundup". There are fun games, an auction and our favorite, pony rides. It is to benefit the PTA, of course. The owner of the horses is a freind of Faith's. She has gone to their home to ride horses.
Audrey loves the horses, and wants to ride them many times.

Kiersten also loves the horses, and this year does not need so much help.

Summer Fun

Summer is a great time to be kids. We went up the canyon with the furners, Larsens, and Gunns for family home evening in August. The kids had fun running around and playing in the canyon. Logan and Aaron played swords with sticks. Aren't boys allways turning everything into a weapon?

Aaron, Logan, Nina, and Jason had lots of fun inventing their own games.
We also had fun playing in the swimming pool this summer. The older kids got to have swimming lessons and the little kids enjoyed playing in the water. Faith probably went to the pool more than any of the others. She likes being old enough to go with her freinds and not have to wait on a grown up to take her.

Kiersten was a bit shy of the water for a while, but got comfortable enough to start jumping off the edge, as long as mom held her hands. Audrey and Aaron loved jumping off the edge. Aaron is practicing swimming so he can get good enough to jump off a diving board.

Logan is learning to swim better this summer. It is fun to have a waterproof camera.

Unfortunately, I do not get enough pictures of the older kids, because they are too busy to play to hang around for a picture, and I have to stay with the little kids.

Lions, Tigers and Bears . . . Oh My!

It is allways fun to visit the zoo. Aaron, Audrey, and Faith are standing in front of the cage to the White Aligator or the "Ghost of the Bayou". This Black Bear was pacing back and forth. Logan liked watching the animals.
It is fun to have Teenage boys who enjoy showing the little kids the animals and they are great to help with their little sisters. Brady is showing Audrey the monkeys.
This Leopard was pacing back and forth in front of the window. It was really neat to be so close. It scared Kiersten when I put her up to the window to see the big cat. We went to the bird show. It was the same as last year, but it is fun to see the birds fly over our heads.
Audrey and I waiting for the bird show to start. Audrey had been sick all week and was still sick when we went to the zoo. I caught her bug Sunday and was sick all the next week.
Aaron was watching the Turkeys and other birds on the grass. The local birds were just as much fun as any of the more exotic animals, because they were often more animated.And, finally, you can't go to the Zoo without stopping for a while at the big ball and pushing it around for a while.

Cabellas

We went to Nephi's Baptism Friday night. Audrey and Aaron in the van. You can see the top of Faith's head. Kenzie, Kiersten and Logan were on the front bench. Brady was at a freinds, he did not come with us. We stopped by Cabella's on our way home and looked at the animals and fishes. Kiersten looks through the glass at the mountain and the stuffed animals on it. Jim, Aaron, Logan, Kiersten, Audrey, Faith, and Kenzie in front of the desert display.

Sledding

January 2nd 2008

We took the kids to a golf course to go sledding. Aaron was a bit scared at first, but when it was time to go he did not want to stop.
