Welcome Katrina!

Katrina was born April 7th, 5:33 p.m. after an emergency C-Section. She weighed 7 lbs. 5 oz. and was 21 1/2 inches long. I went into the hospital that morning to be induced being 6 days overdue. Labor progressed really slow and my contractions were not very strong, even on full pitocin. She was double effaced, her hand was sticking out by her head. Each time they checked, her hand was sticking out further. After 10 hours, the heart beat started to drop. The umbilical cord started coming out also, causing it to get pinched up next to her head. Within minutes, they had a nurse on the bed holding the cervix away from the cord as I was rushed into the operating room, and a Cesarean was performed. Here is the proud father. They got Katrina out so fast that he got in there just after she was born. One of the nurses said she was amazed how fast they got her out once they got me into the room.

Grandma Larsen was Katrina's first visitor.I am so grateful for all the help grandma and my mom have given me during my pregnancy and my stay at the hospital. Thank you!

Visiting Time

My favorite part of being in the hospital is getting visitors. It is fun to show off my new baby.

Brady is a great big brother and a great help to me. It is so nice to have kids old enough and strong enough to really be of help. I can't believe how fast he is growing.

My mom is the sweetest and the best. She has been an angel. I do not know what I would do with out her.

Katrina was not so happy to be shown off. Kiersten did not want to give the baby back, even though she was screaming.
Katrina really was not about to be a happy camper. Logan is really growing fast.

She is sleeping for Kenzie. He must have the majic touch.

Aaron is in kindergarten, and learning to read. He is full of exitement and determination. He is also full of questions, which now focus on where babies come from.

Faith is a natural. Her little sisters adore her. She waited so long for a sister and now she has a handfull of them.

Audrey and Kiersten will have some adjustments, but they love holding their new sister.
